The kids are headed back to school, and Chiquita says it is making the return that much sweeter with nutritious and delicious snack options that both parents and kids will appreciate.

Families can enjoy specially crafted recipes including After-School Chiquita Banana Bread, Chiquita Banana Peanut Butter Pancake Rolls and Chiquita Banana Carrot Cake Muffins, according to a news release. The company said these recipes serve as a fun and tasty way for families to enjoy Chiquita bananas together and discover delicious new twists on the popular fruit.

“Parents want the very best nutrition for their kids, and kids want foods that taste delicious, so Chiquita bananas are a win-win because not only are they fresh and sweet, but they’re also a great source of vitamins and energy that kids need at school and beyond,” said Juliana Furlan, chief marketing officer for Chiquita North America. “We are bananas about this promotion, which aims to combine the nutritional benefits of Chiquita bananas with the excitement and fun of the back-to-school season.”

Chiquita said bananas offer a natural, fresh and healthy snack option while also providing the energy and nourishment that children need to stay focused and active throughout their busy school day. Chiquita bananas are rich in fiber, potassium and vitamin B6, the release said.
