DelFrescoPure strawberries certified pesticide-free

DelFrescoPure, Kingsville, Ontario, has taken its integrated pest management program from greenhouse vegetables and applied it to strawberries.

DelFrescoPure, Kingsville, Ontario, has taken its integrated pest management program from greenhouse vegetables and applied it to strawberries.

The strawberries, grown in 17 acres of southwestern Ontario greenhouses, are now SCS Certified Pesticide Free and are available year-round, according to a news release.

The Yes!Berries brand strawberries are available in the U.S. and Canada.

SCS Global Services, Emeryville, Calif., is a third-party certifier of environmental, sustainability and food safety claims, according to the release.
DelFrescoPure will be displaying the strawberries at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit expo Oct. 18-19, at booth No. 2259 in Anaheim, Calif.
