Fresh Thyme Farmers Market has promoted Dean Little to chief operating officer and has hired Tod Pepin as chief merchandising officer.

Little, who has more than 40 years of experience in the industry, joined Fresh Thyme in 2017 as chief operations officer, according to a news release. He was previously senior vice president of operations for Price Chopper.

In his new role, Little will still oversee store operations, new store development, asset protection and food safety, but he will also have under his purview Fresh Thyme’s real estate, construction and distribution center operations.

Pepin joins the company from Meijer, where he was senior vice president of foods merchandising. He also worked for Delhaize America, where he was senior vice president of merchandising governance, private brands and business planning.

Pepin brings more than 25 years of experience.

“As we continue our commitment to making fresh, organic food accessible to all, we are incredibly happy to promote and bring on these innovative leaders whose passion matches our own,” Chris Sherrell, president and CEO of Fresh Thyme, said in the release. “We are confident these talented executives will offer fresh ideas, deliver new innovations and lead the company to continued success.”
