Kanzi apples show explosive growth

CMI Orchards said this managed variety shows a 613% growth in volume for the 13 weeks ending Dec. 2, according to Nielsen scan data.

CMI Orchards said Kanzi apple experienced a growth rate four times higher than any other branded apples in the top 15 of Nielsen scan data for 13 weeks, ending Dec. 2.

Kanzi posted a 478% sales dollars increase and 613.2% growth in volume for the period, according to a news release.

“The explosive growth of Kanzi apples, spotlighted in the latest Nielsen report, stands as a testament to their unmatched taste and quality,” Rochelle Bohm, vice president of marketing at CMI Orchards, said in the release. “Consumers wholeheartedly embrace Kanzi, propelling category sales through their outstanding performance in the market. Over the latest 52-week period, Kanzi sales dollars have grown by +45.4%.”

CMI Orchards said helping to fuel the interest in Kanzi is its new branding launched this season with a vibrant splash graphic that represents the energy and taste Kanzi apples bring.

Kanzi is exclusively licensed by CMI Orchards and Applewood Orchards in the U.S.
