Monterey Mushroom plans to highlight its Let’s Blend products at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit in Orlando by serving meatballs on the expo floor each day.

The company will start serving the meatballs, made with the finely diced mushrooms and ground beef in the Let’s Blend line’s Classic, Mexican and Italian flavors, starting at 11 a.m. on Oct. 19-20.

“Tasting is believing, and we want to get the blend concept in front of as many buyers as possible,” Mike O’Brien, vice president of sales and marketing, said in a news release.

Booth visitors can play “Jep-Spore-Dy,” a take-off of the game show “Jeopardy” featuring answers about mushrooms. The highest scoring participant receives an iPad.

The company will have a refrigerated display to highlight labels introduced two months ago.

“Fresh Summit is our opportunity to interact with customers in person, share news and plan for the upcoming year,” O’Brien said in the release. “This year we are excited to showcase a new look for packaging and our new product line.”
