Morning Kiss Organic melons hit East Coast shelves

The brand is currently offering organic mini watermelons, organic cantaloupe and organic honeydew melons from Mexico and California to its East Coast customers.

Northeastern organic produce brand Morning Kiss Organic is bringing back a selection of summer melons to East Coast stores and distribution centers. Shipping from Mexico and California, Morning Kiss Organic now has organic mini watermelons, organic cantaloupes and organic honeydew melons available, according to a news release.

“Get ready to savor the taste of summer,” Morning Kiss Organic’s Nelly Czajkowski said in the release. “Organic melons are a great addition to the summer retail set and a fantastic way to boost organic category sales. We’ve seen a major increase in demand for organic melons and our growers have done an excellent job expanding the category.”

This season Morning Kiss Organic will be offering a new label option that includes a scannable UPC to guarantee the product’s organic sale at check out, the release said. The labels feature Morning Kiss Organic’s new logo and are designed to stay adhered to the fruit amid temperature changes.

“With self-checkout on the rise we wanted to provide our customers with a scannable option so they can trust they will get the organic sale,” Czajkowski said.

Morning Kiss Organic said it anticipates offering organic melons through December, which includes inventory management to reduce loss to product because of spoilage. What’s more, melons can be banded with organic tape upon request to guarantee the organic sale at checkout, according to the release.

Morning Kiss Organic is the organic brand owned by a partnership of Gold Bell, DiSilva Fruit and Arrowfarms. Headquartered in Massachusetts, Morning Kiss Organic products are available year-round in a range of customizable formats, packed to order, the release said.
