Two Schnuck Markets Inc. stores in Evansville, Ind., plan to host customer appreciate events to celebrate recent upgrades and remodels.

“Schnucks has served the Evansville community for nearly 50 years, and we remain committed to offering our dedicated customers the best grocery shopping experience possible,” Stephen Rennels, division manager at Schnucks, said in a news release. “We invite them to not only stop by to check out the renovations and improvements but to also join us for each store’s respective customer appreciation event.”

The remodel of Schnucks Green River store (3501 N. Green River Road) features renovated and expanded deli and floral departments, alongside revitalized bakery, produce, seafood and meat sections, the release said.

Other improvements include an expanded dairy department and widened interior aisles for enhanced accessibility. The fresh area is illuminated with new lighting, while electronic shelf labels streamline the shopping experience. Additionally, a new e-commerce area has been introduced.

The Schnucks Green River store will host an in-store sampling event April 7, with customers invited to explore the store’s enhancements and enjoy complimentary samples. The 63,000-square-foot store opened in 2003 and currently has 90 employees, the release said.

Enhancements at the Schnucks Evansville West store (4500 W. Lloyd Expressway) include a relocated deli department for improved convenience and accessibility. The produce, bakery, meat and seafood departments have been expanded, now offering fresh sushi options to cater to diverse tastes.

Energy-efficient refrigeration systems have been installed to promote sustainability, while new lighting and ceilings brighten the fresh area, the company said. Electronic shelf labels streamline the shopping experience, complemented by a new e-commerce area. New acoustic ceiling tiles were also installed.

Schnucks Evansville West store is planning a customer appreciation event April 8, which will include an outdoor eclipse event in the parking lot and an in-store sampling session featuring product giveaways. The 62,000-square-foot Evansville West store opened in 1989 and currently has 106 employees, the release said.

Schnucks began serving the Evansville community in 1977 and currently operates six stores in the area and a seventh Indiana store in Jasper, with the seven stores employing 673 teammates, the release said.
