Starr Ranch Growers, Wenatchee, Wash., has consolidated sales offices in Yakima, Wash., and hired Shawn Loudon to its sales team there.

The company still has its Wenatchee headquarters, which also has a sales staff.

“Prior to consolidation, we had sales staff located independently at each one of our packing plants,” Dan Davis, director of business development, said in an e-mail. “With the addition of Stadelman, we were becoming too spread out and felt consolidating our 12 staff in the Yakima area into one office would benefit everyone.”

Starr Ranch Growers announced this spring it would be marketing apples, cherries and pears from Stadelman Fruit, Zillah, Wash.

The Starr Ranch Growers’ new office in Yakima will house the sales team, director of business development and quality assurance field inspectors, according to a news release.

“As we grow, we see the need for a central office in Yakima that will benefit our business overall,” CEO Brett Reasor said in the release. “With the centralized office, it will provide a collaborative work environment for our employees along with great service to all of our retailers and packinghouses.”

Loudon was an account manager at Domex Superfresh Growers, where he managed the Aldi and Sam’s Club accounts. He was at Superfresh for more than 17 years.

He joins other recent hires at the Yakima office. Randy Eckert was hired in March, previously working at Yakima Fresh, and Jason Fontara, who was hired from FirstFruits Marketing.

“As we look to continue to expand our core retail business, Shawn will be a great asset to the team,” Reasor said in the release.
