Columbus, Ohio-based DNO Produce is collaborating with WCBE-FM on the 10th annual Fresh-Cut Food Drive.

Throughout December, the bulk and fresh-cut produce provider is turning each donation to WCBE into an opportunity to provide 3 pounds of fresh, nutritious fruits and vegetables to those in need through the Mid-Ohio Food Collective, according to a news release. This year marks a decade that DNO Produce and the Columbus-based radio station have partnered to lead the food and fundraising initiative.

“Celebrating a decade of community commitment, DNO Produce is honored and excited to organize the Fresh-Cut Food Drive for the 10th year,” Marissa Dake, vice president of brand and people for DNO Produce, said in the release. “As a homegrown family produce company with deep roots in central Ohio, we are proud to spearhead an effort that supports local radio and delivers fresh fruits and vegetables to families across the region. We encourage everyone to donate.”

WCBE Community Relations Director Johnny DiLoretto expressed his gratitude for the enduring collaboration.

“This annual partnership with DNO is one we’re all so proud of here at WCBE,” he said in the release. “Bringing our listeners together to support great music, much of it local, and directing that passion towards fighting hunger in our communities, is truly extraordinary. We can’t thank the DNO team and our members enough.”

“We are thankful to WCBE 90.5 and DNO Produce for their passion and commitment in helping our neighbors have fresh fruits and vegetables and other nutritious foods in their time of need,” Matt Habash, President and CEO of Mid-Ohio Food Collective said in the release. “The demand for food in our 20-county service area of Central and Eastern Ohio is up 30 percent year over year. The effort of WCBE, its listeners, and DNO Produce will go a long way towards helping families overcome hunger.”
