Wenatchee, Wash.-based Oneonta Starr Ranch Growers will be fully transitioned to the company’s HiC2 recyclable pouch bag in the coming season, said Dan Davis, director of business development.

“We’re excited about the fully recyclable nature of this film and look forward to seeing less single-use packaging in regard to our products,” Davis said.

In addition, Davis said the company will expand its corrugated clamshell replacement pack.

On the supply side, Davis said the firm’s overall volume will be level with what it was in 2020.

“Our evolution of varieties continues — more Honeycrisp and less of the varieties that have fallen out of favor,” he said. “The addition of organic availability for the Juici and the Koru varieties has been new this year.”
