Whole Foods Market said on Wednesday it was recalling select products from its produce and prepared foods departments that contain jalapeños sourced from Coast Citrus Distributors due to potential salmonella contamination.
No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with these products, the Food and Drug Administration said.
FDA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in collaboration with state and local partners, are investigating illnesses in a multistate outbreak of salmonella infections linked to fresh jalapenos supplied by Coast Citrus Distributors.
The recalled products include select salsas, guacamole, pico de gallo and prepared foods, Whole Foods said.
