Produce industry associations are revisiting presentations from the 2020 Center for Produce Safety Virtual Research Symposium.

The Produce Marketing Association, United Fresh Produce Association and Western Growers is sponsoring the web seminar, 2 p.m. Eastern Sept. 8.

Registration is online.

“For many, sometimes it is not quite clear whether this new knowledge represents solutions ready for adoption and if not, how close and what needs to happen next?” according to a news release. “What sectors should be preparing for subtle shifts in practices or policies and which project outcomes are fueling significant game-changing expectations?”

The seminar will bring to life highlights from the sessions and solicit input on research priorities for future CPS funding.

The symposium research presentations were available live over a period of five weeks. Bob Whitaker, the former chief science and technology officer for the PMA, has provided executive and weekly session summaries, which have been posted on the CPS website.
