Dole recalls Sesame Asian Chopped Salad Kits due to allergen

Dole Fresh Vegetables Inc. is recalling Sesame Asian Chopped Salad Kits in nine states after the wrong salad dressing and topping pack was included in the kits.

The dressing includes egg, an allergen that must be listed on labels.

No allergic reactions have been reported in connection with the salads, and the company is working with regulatory officials, according to Dole’s recall notice on the Food and Drug Administration website.

The Sesame Asian Chopped Salad Kits involved in the recall have a Universal Product Code of 0-71430-00035-9 and best-by dates of Jan. 15. The lot codes are B364016 and B364017, according to Dole Fresh Vegetables.

The salads were shipped to Alaska, California, Idaho, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas and Utah.
