Produce for Better Health Foundation adds staff, bolsters food and nutrition expertise

The Produce for Better Health Foundation has expanded its staff to further strengthen the group’s food and nutrition expertise,  as well as PBH stakeholder engagement strategies, according to a news release.

Emily Holdorf  has been hired as social media community manager with the  PBH marketing and communications team. Nicole Farris, industry and partner engagement manager, joined PBH in late August 2021, according to the release.

“I am thrilled to welcome these two accomplished professionals onto the PBH Team to further serve the produce industry, key public health stakeholders and strategic partners alike as we work together to advance PBH’s mission of improving fruit and vegetable consumption in America,” Wendy Reinhardt Kapsak, PBH president and CEO, said in the release. “PBH will leverage the unique strengths these two women bring to our small but mighty team to advance collaborative, creative and productive partnerships that inspire consumers every single day.”

Emily Holdorf, MS, RDN

Holdorf joins PBH after starting her food and nutrition career within the university foodservice sector, according to the release. Holdorf previously served as the campus dietitian for the University of North Carolina-Charlotte and Colgate University while working with Compass Group USA, the release said. 

She holds a Master of Science degree in human nutrition from the University of Alabama and a Bachelor of Science in dietetics from the State University of New York-Oneonta the release said. 

Holdorf will work with Katie Calligaro, PBH marketing and communications director, and Candice Gordon, PBH digital marketing and communications manager, the release said.

Nicole Farris, Industry & Partner Engagement Manager

Farris brings experience in project management, business development and client service, most notably from the foodservice industry as a managing partner of a national quick service franchise, the release said.

Farris serves alongside Sharese Roper, PBH industry and partner engagement senior director, and Allison Kissel, PBH industry and partner engagement coordinator.
