C.H. Robinson introduces Navisphere Vision

Eden Prairie, Minn.-based C.H. Robinson has launched a supply chain program to give shippers ‘real-time global visibility’ in one place.

Navisphere Vision provides shippers with impacts and insights from possible weather problems, traffic or current events, using predictive analytics, according to a news release.

“Navisphere Vision helps us make decisions on a more precise, real-time level so we can address any challenges that might occur, react in a less randomized fashion, create predictability throughout our supply chain, and increase collaboration so we can deliver our products to customers on time. It’s tremendously powerful,” Alaina Hawkins, senior manager of global logistics for Microsoft, said in the release, whose company has been using the technology since 2016.

Navisphere Vision uses API technology to bring supply chain and information together on one platform, according to the release.

“It’s ability to serve all global regions across any transportation mode, as well as layering in potential disruptions, provides our customers with powerful data, insights and opportunities to make changes quickly,” Chad Lindbloom, chief information officer for C.H. Robinson, said in the release. “And it brings a new level of machine-learning and data science the supply chain industry hasn’t seen to date.”
