Mushroom Council launches ‘Shroom Cam

Mushroom Council launches ‘Shroom Cam

For National Mushroom Month in September, the Mushroom Council’s ‘Shroom Cam will reveal its unique production story.

The 24/7 livestream, which launches Aug. 30 at ShroomCam.com, will give curious consumers a look at beds of button mushrooms growing at a farm in Landenberg, Pa., according to a news release.

The council plans to use the ‘Shroom Cam to educate consumers on mushrooms and spotlight sustainable production via its social channels and other media outreach.

“Is mushroom production glamorous? No. Is it fascinating and beautiful? Yes,” Bart Minor, president of the Mushroom Council, said in the release. “The ‘Shroom Cam will help us show consumers, in a fun and engaging way, one of agriculture’s most unique stories.”
