Scout Logistics Corp. has been recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for a fourth consecutive year, which makes it a Gold Standard winner for the first time.

The Best Managed program, now in its 25th year, chooses from among hundreds of competing Canadian-owned and managed businesses with revenues of more than $15 million based on their strategy, capability and commitment to sustainable growth. The program is sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC, Canadian Business Magazine, Queen’s Smith School of Business, MacKay CEO Forums and the TMX Group.

“We operate on ‘Scout’s honor.’ We stand by our word — we treat our customers, carrier partners and team members fairly, honestly and with integrity,” Lorne Swartz, founder and president of Scout Logistics, said in a news release.

“Not only is it the right thing to do but we believe it is also essential to the success of our business. Earning a spot among Canada’s Best Managed Companies for the fourth consecutive year confirms once again that we are taking the right approach and making smart investments in our people, partners and processes.”
