The San Francisco-based food technology company has completed the acquisition of foodservice provider Daylight Foods of Union City, Calif.

The Packer’s 2022 Fresh Trends report finds that 46% of shoppers say they seek out companies that are “environmentally aware.”

Shoppers are making decisions based on what they read rather than what they can touch, said Ray Connelly, vice president of supplier strategy at Los Gatos, Calif.-based Procurant.
