In season 4, episode 5 of “Tip of the Iceberg Podcast,” learn from ZAG Technical Services data expert Thuan Ngo how getting a better handle on the data you already have is key before diving into AI — making smart buying, selling, marketing, investment decisions.

Higher-profile industries such as health care, finance and technology are at the forefront of AI, or artificial intelligence, but agriculture and produce retail are stepping into the game too.

“One of the things on fire in the market right now is infusing AI into a lot of solutions. We hear about it almost every day. But even AI depends on the value of the data,” Ngo said. “If that data is not accurate, if it is not in good shape, then AI may give you an answer that’s not good for business.”

He continued: “As we move forward, what we’ll probably see is that the advance, end-state of AI machine learning is going to drive more excitement and more need for data and what we’re going to see is a renewed effort in getting the data that’s foundational.”
