For the fifth straight year, Avocados From Mexico is featuring its Fanwich program during the height of basketball season.
The promotion, running through March 31, teams Avocados From Mexico with Smithfield Bacon, according to a news release. The promotion highlights handheld meals and snacks for game day.
“As basketball season ramps up, basketball fans are in search of game day meals and snacks they can savor — like sandwiches, wraps, and sliders made with Smithfield bacon and topped off with fresh Avocados From Mexico,” Stephanie Bazan, senior director, market development at Avocados From Mexico, said in the release. Fanwich supports Avocados from Mexico’s shopper communications platform, Savor Every Moment, according to the release.
The program will be promoted with in-store displays, consumer savings, digital support, a consumer sweepstakes and a retailer contest. Retail bins will include messaging from the “Ready When You’re Ready” education program, which focuses on selecting, ripening, preserving and serving techniques, according to the release.
Bins will display a coupon tear pad offering $2 off with a purchase two avocados from Mexico and one Smithfield bacon product, according to the release.
The campaign also includes paid social posts and a landing page highlighting recipes at SavorMoment.com.
