Over the years, her writing has received awards from the American Agricultural Editors Association, Livestock Publications Council and American Business Media. A Texas native, she received her bachelor of science degree in agricultural communications from Texas Tech University in Lubbock and now resides in San Antonio, Texas, with her husband and sons.
