Celebrating the company’s high-elevation cherries, Wenatchee, Wash.-based Stemilt Growers has created National Chant at the Moon Day on Aug. 15.

National Chant at the Moon is a day dedicated to celebrating Stemilt’s high-elevation cherries (2,640 to 3,500 feet above sea level) that are grown by fourth generation cherry grower Kyle Mathison in the Amigos Orchards near Wenatchee, according to the release. The day has been recognized by National Today, an online media outlet recognizing National Days of all kinds, according to Stemilt.

“National Chant at the Moon Day is a great way to rally around a product that has a unique situation that no other cherry in the world has,” Roger Pepperl, marketing director for Stemilt, said in a news release. "Kyle Mathison has researched and tested the way his cherries are grown, and by tapping into some of mother nature’s greatest elements he achieves World Famous cherries.”

The release said retailers can start loading for A Half Mile Closer to the Moon cherries about Aug. 10.

“Planning now for the month of August with A Half Mile Closer to the Moon cherries will help retailers wrap up their cherry season nicely,” Pepperl said.

“And to help support retailers during this key promotional period, our team is offering resources, including toolkits, advertisements, social posts and more.”
