Stockton, Calif.-based Onions Etc. is upping its production capacity this year, said Darrell Kelson, CEO.
“We’ve purchased a Symach robotic stacker with an eCraft bagging system that enables us to pack two loads an hour,” Kelso said. “We pack about 40 tons an hour.”
The system will be operational about July 1 — about a month behind its original schedule, due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.
Onions Etc. also has a new sleeve pack for organic and conventional onions.
