Edinburg, Texas-based Frontera Produce Ltd. is offering calabaza/gray squash for the first time, said Trevor Stuart, account manager.

It’s an exciting addition to the company’s product lineup, he said.

“It pairs well with our other Hispanic veg — limes, jicama, aloe, tomatillo, nopalito, specialty peppers — which adds to our value as a one-stop-shop,” Stuart said.

The addition is particularly important as a cost-saving service for customers, Stuart said.

“With e-logs and other logistical difficulties, we want to add value to our customers by having more offerings to eliminate costly additional pickups for their truck,” he said.
