Village Farms has a new packaging plan for six of its snacking tomatoes.

The program features top-seal 10-ounce containers that are able to be stacked five high. In the line are proprietary snacking tomatoes, Heavenly Villagio Marzano, Cabernet Estate Reserve, Cherry No. 9, Lip Smackn’ Grape, Maverick Mix and Lorabella Blossom.

Helen Aquino, director of brand marketing and communications for Village Farms, said these are part of its Stackable Snackables line, which encourages consumers to “Snack with Impact.”

“Increasing dollar sales in the same shelf space and reducing the potential of out of stock all while improving labor efficiency with less restocking are all benefits with this program,” she said in a news release. “Plus reducing shrink by increasing shelf life with top-seal containers provides an important benefit for our retail partners.”
