Fresh-cut processor and distributor Russ Davis Wholesale has recalled 14 products in connection with the Mann Packing recall due to potential listeria contamination.

On the same day as that recall, Nov. 8, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety Inspection Service issued a public health alert for the same reason, for ready-to-eat entrees. The FSIS regulates food safety for products with meat.

Mann Packing is a supplier to Russ Davis Wholesale, Wadena, Minn., according to a notice on the Food and Drug Administration’s recall website, which lists the products involved. Most of the products were labeled with Russ Davis Wholesale’s Crazy Fresh and Quick & Easy labels.

They were distributed to retailers in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Iowa, Montana, Nebraska and Wyoming, according to the recall notice. Sell by dates start on Oct. 10 and range through Nov. 10.

No illnesses have been reported in connection with the Russ Davis Recall, the FSIS alert, or recalls by other retailers or entities.

The five products on the FSIS list include Russ Davis Wholesale labels, and include Broccoli Cheddar with Bacon under the Crazy Fresh Quick & Easy, Kowalski’s Quick & Easy and Quick & Easy labels. An Amazon Go Butter Chicken with Turmeric Rice and Amazon Go Broccoli Crunch Power Bowl are also included in the alert.

Mann Packing issued a recall of more than 100 products on Nov. 3 after being alerted by the FDA and Canadian Food Inspection Agency about the potential for Listeria monocytogenes contamination. That was in response to the Canadian agency’s Oct. 30 and Nov. 1 recall of Sobeys private label brand Compliments. The products were supplied by Mann Packing, according to a CFIA spokeswoman.

Since then, more companies have recalled Mann Packing products, including Wegmans, Whole Foods, Albertsons, GHNW LLC and Meijer. Mann Packing’s Nov. 3 recall listed products sent to numerous retailers, including Walmart, Kroger, H-E-B and Trader Joe’s, as well as US Foods and Sysco Corp.
