Canadian retailer Sobeys Inc. has issued a recall for 19 fresh-cut and deli products containing broccoli due to possible listeria contamination.
The products were distributed to Sobeys in the provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, according to a news release posted on the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
The recall, issued Oct. 4, was triggered by a CFIA inspection, according to the release. The agency is conducting a food safety investigation.
“The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products,” according to the release.
The recall affects all of the products with “best before” dates of Oct. 7 and before.
