Enzed Exotics showing kiwano melons in NYC
New Zealand kiwano melon grower Enzed Exotics is exhibiting for the first time at the New York Produce Show after seeing significant growth in U.S. sales.
The company anticipates continued growth in demand for its specialty melons in 2018, as U.S. sales have grown nearly 50% since 2015, according to a news release.
Enzed has more than 30 years experience growing and handling kiwano melons, which is increasingly found on cocktail menus and in salads and salsas in various restaurants throughout the U.S., according to the release.
“Enzed Exotics is known for having consistently high quality because our fruit is timed perfectly to be picked, shipped and arrive at peak quality,” Vanessa Hutchings, owner and managing director of Enzed Exotics, said in the release. “Thanks to mixologists and chefs, the kiwano can be found on menus across the country, and food influencers continue to encourage the re-creation of kiwano-inspired recipes for at-home chefs and health enthusiasts alike.”
The company’s chief grower/owner Alan Hutchings and managing director/owner Vanessa Hutchings plan to attend the Dec. 12-14 New York show, at booth #162.
