Coast Produce awarded contract to supply commissaries

Los Angeles-based Coast Produce Co. has been awarded a contract to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to military commissaries in the Western U.S.

Los Angeles-based Coast Produce Co. has been awarded a contract to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to military commissaries in the Western U.S.

The $153.6 million contract with the Defense Commissary Agency is for a base period of 24 months beginning Feb. 25 and continuing through Feb. 21, 2021, according to news release from the Department of Defense. With three one-year-options, the contract will be completed Feb. 21, 2024 if all options are exercised.
