Purdue University to address COVID-19 supply disruptions

Purdue University professors will have a discussion on disruptions in supply chains caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and implications for consumers.

Purdue University professors will have a discussion on disruptions in supply chains caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and implications for consumers.

The hour-long panel discussion, which will feature a question-and-answer session, will be livestreamed on the university’s Krannert School of Management Facebook page, according to a Purdue University news release.

It begins at 11 a.m. Eastern May 18.

Panelists include:

  • Ananth Iyer, senior associate dean of the Krannert School, who will discuss how the supply chain has been affected by COVID-19;
  • Jayson Lusk, head of the Department of Agricultural Economics, who will talk about the current food supply situation; and
  • Mohammad Rahman, associate professor of management at the Krannert School, who will discuss how retailers need to adapt omnichannel marketing strategies because of the crisis.
