Storyteller Matthew Luhn will take the stage during the New York Produce Show’s keynote awards breakfast Dec. 11 at the Jacob Javits Center.
Luhn will share his perspective on how storytelling and capturing an audience is a key to success in the keynote, “How to Build Business Through Storytelling.” Luhn was the youngest animator to work on “The Simpsons” and has over 25 years as a creator and animator, working on “Toy Story,” “Up,” and “Finding Nemo.”
Show organizers say Luhn’s keynote dovetails nicely with the event’s theme — “Where Passion Becomes Action” — which celebrates the rich history and enthusiasm of the people in the fresh produce industry.
Luhn was also involved in character development, animation, storyboarding and writing for “Monsters Inc.,” “Cars” and “Ratatouille.” He said it was a dream role for him, the son of a toy store owner, as he aspired to be an animator for Disney as a child.
He’s also the author of “The Best Story Wins: How to Leverage Hollywood Storytelling in Business and Beyond” and began consulting for Charles Schwab and Adidas.
Luhn has spoken to leadership teams from Target, Coca-Cola, Procter and Gamble, BMW, Warner Brothers, Sony and Google and his presentations center around the theme of innovation, curiosity and deploying storytelling strategies to construct memorable and lasting connections.
The 2024 New York Produce Show is set for Dec. 10-12.
