Several tropical fruits are closer to access to the U.S. market.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture has published several pest risk assessments that the agency says indicate a clear path for trade with the U.S. for Mexican mombin fruit, mamey sapote fruit, soursop fruit, and sapodilla fruit.
The USDA said it will take comments on its various pest risk documents until July 1.
After reviewing comments received at regulations.gov, the USDA will announce its decision regarding the import status of the fresh fruit commodities.
