Cincinnati, Ohio-based strategic marketing firm GoldenSun Insights has appointed Naba Bakar as vice president of marketing.

The appointment is among an assortment of new positions the company has added in the past year, according to a news release.

“What we’re seeing in recent years is retailers consolidating their fulfillment needs,” Jason Fuller, co-owner of GSI with Randy Riley, said in the release. “For growers and shippers to continue to compete on a national level, they need to place investment in marketing and program business to keep their product at shelf. Naba brings years of experience in marketing and will be invaluable to helping our clients meet their goals.”

Bakar’s appointment is the third promotion she has received since joining GSI in 2016. She previously was director of marketing and senior marketing manager. Bakar also holds a master’s degree in business administration, with a focus on marketing strategy, and has 10-plus years of marketing experience, the release said.

“I am excited to take on this new role in 2022,” Bakar said in the release. “It is a privilege to work for Randy and Jason and to work with the outstanding members of my team. Together, I am confident that we can accomplish our clients’ strategic goals.”
