St. Louis-based Tom Lange Family of Cos. may have a new name — Lange Cos. — but after more than six decades in business, the full-service supply chain provider said it will continue to offer “strategic solutions to immediate and long-term client needs 24/7.”
In September, the firm changed its name and placed its Lange Fresh Sales offices in St. Louis, Indianapolis and Chicago into one group known as its Central Region Office. It’s managed by Jeff Moore, vice president for the Central Region.
“We took a careful and strategic approach while evaluating our path forward,” said Greg Reinauer, Lange Cos. president and CEO. “We have strengthened and further improved our procurement and overall services by leveraging our greatest strengths from each of those offices.”
The move also resulted in “immediate and positive results” in produce transportation and better visibility for building loads efficiently and effectively, he said.
Moore called his team “a very customer-driven group driven by hard work and passion.”
“It has been both fun and exciting to see each office collaborate more and have many customers introduced to some of the strengths they may not have otherwise known we have,” he said. “We’re very optimistic about what the Central Region will accomplish moving forward.”

The company that previously comprised Tom Lange, Seven Seas and Lange Logistics now consists of Lange Fresh Sales, Lange Farms and Lange Logistics.
“I am excited to introduce a transformation in the way we brand and present the Tom Lange Family of Companies for the future,” Reinauer said.
The company has grown during the past 64 years, he said, but has remained true to the values it started in 1960.
“The changes we are introducing will allow us to continue to do what we do best: support vertically integrated supply chain solutions paired with unbeatable service,” he said.
The yearlong journey has been an exciting one that perfectly positions Lange for the future, Reinuaer said.
“Lange will continue to provide even more integrated, flexible and strategic solutions to our cus-tomers and partners,” he said. “We use our established network, vertically integrated services and problem-solving agility to deliver more than expected for our customers.”
