The Packer’s Tom Karst visited Nov. 16 with Jim Wiesemeyer, policy analyst with Pro Farmer about the November elections and what is ahead for agricultural policy in a Democratic administration
Wiesmeyer, who has covered agricultural issues since 1978, offers his perspective on possible candidates for the Secretary of Agriculture under a Joe Biden administration, and changes that can be expected to farm and trade policy over the next four years.
“I wouldn’t call Biden a moderate; he is a liberal, and we are going to see whether or not his party has moved him further left,” Wiesemeyer said.
