Stern Produce awarded $165M supply contract

Stern Produce Co. Inc., Phoenix, has been awarded a maximum $165 million contract for fresh fruits and vegetables.

The company won the five-year contract over one other competing firm, according to a news release.

The ordering period end date is Aug. 24, 2028, with customers including the Army, Air Force, Department of Homeland Security, and USDA schools and reservations. The contracting activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Philadelphia, the release said.
