The president of Tom Lange Co. Inc. will now add CEO to his job title at the St. Louis, Mo.-based, employee-owned produce company.

Greg Reinauer will now serve as both president and CEO, the Tom Lange Family of Companies announced Jan. 10 in a news release.

Reinauer has been president of Tom Lange since he joined the company in 2012. He is taking over the CEO position left vacant following former CEO Phil “Rock” Gumpert’s retirement on Dec. 31, 2021, the release said.

Gumpert, who still serves on the Tom Lange board of directors as chairman, gave his stamp of approval to the expansion of Reinauer’s role.

“The board and I are confident that Greg is the right person to build on the momentum that he has created since joining the Tom Lange Family of Companies,” Gumpert said in the release. “His vision for the company’s future and experience as a seasoned leader made (him) the perfect choice to lead Tom Lange, both as president and as CEO.”

Reinauer, too, said he was looking forward to his additional job responsibilities as CEO.

“I appreciate the confidence that Tom Lange board of directors has placed in me and our leadership team,” he said in the release. “I am grateful for the privilege to have worked with (Gumpert) and look forward to continuing to work with him as our board chairman.”

He said the company would continue its focus “on growth and the expansion of our business across all three divisions” of the Tom Lange Family of Companies, which include Tom Lange Co. Inc., Lange Logistics and Seven Seas.
