With just 30 days to go until the Fresh Produce Association of the Americas’ Southwest International Produce Expo, or SWIPE, the excitement is building as leading retailers and buyers from across the produce industry gear up to attend this year’s event, say organizers.

Set to take place at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa in Tucson, Ariz., from Nov. 7-9, SWIPE 2024 is shaping up to be a premier produce industry event of the year, according to a news release.

The 2024 SWIPE Expo will bring together industry leaders, creating a prime networking opportunity, building new partnerships, and showcasing products to top-tier retailers, the release said.

“The quality of retailers and foodservice buyers at SWIPE 2023 was one of the top remarks from attendees last year,” Lance Jungmeyer, president of the FPAA, said in the release. “We have seen a great response from buyers this year too.”

Among others, this year’s roster includes major names such as:

  • Walmart
  • US Foods
  • Sysco Produce
  • The GIANT Company
  • Associated Wholesale Grocers, Inc
  • Charlie’s Produce
  • Grocery Outlet
  • H-E-B
  • Indianapolis Fruit/FreshEdge
  • Markon Cooperative
  • Jewel Osco
  • Pro*Act
  • Piggly Wiggly
  • Sobeys
  • Rancho Markets
  • Nature’s Produce
  • Freshpoint Central Cal
  • Buyer Edge Fresh Alliance

“SWIPE is truly the place to be for those looking to make impactful connections and tap into the latest trends in the produce industry,” Jungmeyer. “With the top retailers in attendance, exhibitors have an invaluable opportunity to position their products in front of influential buyers who are ready to do business.”

Exhibitor booths are still available. With the event just a month away, attendees are encouraged to register now to take advantage of our special hotel block rates, which expire on Oct. 14, the release said. From networking events and educational sessions to the annual Desert Classic Golf Tournament, SWIPE 2024 is set to deliver a memorable experience for all participants, organizers say.
