Miami, Fla.-based Ecoripe Tropicals is expecting steady supplies of organic ginger, said company president Marc Holbik.

“We are expecting steadier supply than last winter,” Holbik said.

The company, founded in 2004, will offer compostable PLU stickers and compostable gusset bags, he said.

The overall organic market will benefit from continued transparency, Holbik said, noting the high value of the USDA organic integrity database.
