Ocean Mist Farms, Castroville, Calif., has promoted Joe Angelo to sales manager of the brand’s conventional and organic brands.

Previously, Angelo was sales manager of organic Ocean Mist products.

He joined Ocean Mist in 2015. Before that he was a national account manager for Dole Berry Co. and account manager at Dole Fresh Vegetables, and has 12 years of experience in the industry.

Angelo has played an integral role in developing Ocean Mist Farms’ organic program over the past three years, which has grown 300% in that time, according to a news release. An expanding customer base and product line has led to the growth. The company now offers more than 20 organic items.

“Joe has proven himself to be a valuable member of the Ocean Mist Farms sales team,” Rick Bravo, vice president of sales and marketing, said in the release. “His appointment as sales manager over the Ocean Mist Farms and Ocean Mist Organic brands reflects his ability to lead teams and drive business growth.”
