Organics Unlimited focuses on sustainability at Fresh Summit

Organics Unlimited, San Diego, will be highlighting the company’s eco-friendly packaging, sustainability measures and GROW by Organics Unlimited social responsibility program at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit.

Organics Unlimited President and CEO Mayra Velazquez de Leon will be at the company’s booth, No. 4131, Oct. 19-20 in Orlando, Fla.

The company is nearing completion of a land expansion program in Colima, Mexico, growing from 1,087 acres in 2015, adding about 800 acres by the end of the year, according to a news release.

“We are thrilled to be exhibiting again at PMA Fresh Summit to share our vision of sustainability, responsibility and eco-friendly growing practices as well as exciting new developments within our company,” Velazquez de León said in the release.

The company also grows in the Mexican state of Michoacan, and in Ecuador.
