Pacific Organic adds to sales and grower relations

Pacific Organic Produce, San Francisco, has hired Gerry Chua, Manuel Pinon and Tina Barnes to it sales and grower relations teams.

Pacific Organic Produce, San Francisco, has hired Gerry Chua, Manuel Pinon and Tina Barnes to it sales and grower relations teams.

Chua, a sales account representative, has 30 years of industry experience, most recently in sales at Cuyama Orchards, Arvin, Calif. He was at RB Sandrini Farms, Delano, Calif., for 16 years, including as sales manager, specializing in table grapes. He also was in sales capacities at Sunfresh Marketing Inc., Delano, and Hemphill & Wilson Enterprises, Selma, Calif.

Chua has sold a variety of conventional and organic produce, has a background in commodity management has extensive expertise working with growers, according to a news release.

Pinon is a new commodity sales specialist at Pacific Organic, and also has a 30-year background in sales in the industry, according to the release. His experience includes working with growers and setting up contract, commodity management and sales desk experience, according to the release.

Barnes, a new sales representative at Pacific Organic, has 25 years of experience in sales, marketing and distributing fresh produce. She’s been an organic farmer since 1991, and created an organic grower network to sell and distribute produce, according to the release.

“Pacific Organics is very fortunate to add such talented individuals to our team,” sales manager Mike Rubidoux said in the release. “Each offers a different industry perspective along with unique experiences and qualities. I am looking forward to working with each one as they help us expand our sales team and programs into the future.”
