Yakima, Wash.-based Superfresh Growers is entering its second year of growing and selling Evercrisp apples, said Catherine Gipe-Stewart, director of marketing.

“This sweet and juicy apple holds a powerful crunch and combines the best features of its parent varieties — Honeycrisp and fuji,” she said.

Superfresh will start selling Evercrisp in bulk and bags in February.

The company also plans to offer Mardi Gras pears, she said.

“Mardi Gras, a medium-sized winter pear, will stand out on the shelf with an elongated bottle shape and natural russet over a green background,” she said.
