Doug Kling starts consultancy business

Former Village Farms chief marketing officer Doug Kling has started a new consulting business.

Kling, who had started with Village Farms in 2008, left the company at the end of June, he said in an e-mail.

“After a decade at Village Farms, I felt it was time for a new journey,” he said July 5.

Kling is now CEO and managing partner of Kling Strategic Partners LLC https://www.klingstrategic.com/, Lake Mary, Fla.

“I have had the great opportunity and responsibility of driving and leading multiple activities related to conceptualizing, implementing, and executing sales and marketing strategies over the last 10 years for the Village Farms organization,” according to the e-mail. “It has been a challenging adventure and journey building the Village Farms corporate image, brands, strategic account partnerships, consumer programs, and product portfolio for over a decade.”

Kling said his consulting business will be engaged with the produce and consumer packaged goods industries.
