Braga Fresh is celebrating several recognitions of its team members.

The company says its safety director, Alfonoso Orozco, was named the national 2024 Outstanding Safety Professional of the Year by AgSafe Food and Farms in February. The annual award identifies the best of the best in worker safety professionals in the food and farming industries, according to a new release.

This month Braga Fresh Chief Operating Officer Colby Pereira received the Grower-Shipper Foundation Ag Woman of the Year award for demonstrating a significant contribution to agriculture, being a leader in the community and an “Ag-Vocate” for agriculture, the company says.

And longtime organic grower Rod Braga was recognized at the 2023 Organic Grower Summit as the recipient of the sixth annual Grower of the Year award.

“Receiving three awards is an honor,” Tatiana Briggs, Braga Fresh brand marketing lead, said in the release. “We appreciate being recognized for the passion we share for organic farming and California agriculture. We will continue the leadership trajectory in how we approach our everyday work.”
