Emile Breaux takes on real estate duties at AWG

Associated Wholesale Grocers, Kansas City, Kan., has realigned its real estate department.

The change allows the company to “further accelerate its identification and offerings of growth opportunities for AWG’s member retailers,” according to a news release.

Emile Breaux, senior vice president of regional supply chain operations, assumed leadership of AWG’s real estate team on Jan. 31, according to a news release, in addition to his previous responsibilities.

He works with David Smith, president and CEO, on all real estate matters. He continues to report to Dan Funk, AWG chief operating officer, according to the release.

In the new role, Breaux sets overall strategy for the real estate team “to strengthen AWG’s quality of work n providing vital real estate services” to AWG retailers, according to the release.

Jeff Olson, vice president of real estate, continues to lead day-to-day activities of the real estate team, according to the release.
