Frieda’s serves purple sweet potato pie on ‘CBS This Morning’

Frieda’s Specialty Produce, Los Alamitos, Calif., will be featured on “CBS Sunday Morning” in a segment featuring people who have had an effect on American food culture.

The Nov. 24 segment is part of CBS’ annual pre-Thanksgiving “Eat, Drink & Be Merry” broadcast that “celebrates food and shares stories of food purveyors that have had a profound impact on American food culture,” according to a new release.

The “CBS Sunday Morning” website has this year’s top holiday recipes and menu suggestion, including Frieda’s Stokes Purple Sweet Potato Pie with Maple Whipped Cream.

Check local listings for specific air times on Nov. 24, according to the release.
