Simbe, a San Francisco-based grocery retail technology company, announced new additions to its sales leadership team on Aug. 11 via LinkedIn. Barbra Chase and Brian Hughes will join Simbe as vice presidents of sales.

“Both bring deep experience in shelf digitization and store intelligence retail technology — and their decision to join Simbe sends a clear message: Retailers and top talent recognize Simbe as the leader in retail technology,” says Brooks Augustine, senior vice president of sales.

Chase brings extensive sales leadership experience to Simbe, according to Augustine. She pioneered shelfAI solutions at several companies, including Brain Corp, and has helped retailers of all sizes solve complex operational challenges and guided technology adoption by building strong relationships.

Augustine says Hughes also recently worked at Brain Corp where he built partnerships with Fortune 500 retailers and drove adoption of autonomous floor scrubber solutions across thousands of stores. While at Nilfisk before that, he earned multiple salesman of the year and goalmaker awards.

“At Simbe, we consistently hear that our vision, market share, and depth of strategic partnership set us apart, alongside our distinction as the only vertically integrated physical AI company — a crucial advantage for keeping total cost of ownership low for retailers,” says Augustine. “With Brian and Barbra onboard, we’ll further strengthen this muscle. ...”
