NatureSweet chief legal officer joins CEA Alliance board of directors

Skip Hulett brings a wealth of legal experience and leadership success at NatureSweet to the board, according to CEA industry group.

The CEA Alliance, an industry group for the controlled environment agriculture industry, appointed Skip Hulett to its board of directors, May 8. Hulett serves as chief legal officer at NatureSweet, a CEA fresh produce company using greenhouse technology and innovative growing methods based in San Antonio, Texas.

Since joining NatureSweet in 2018, Hulett has played a pivotal role in the company’s growth and has led several initiatives. A former state district court judge and founder of a law firm, Hulett brings deep legal expertise and a passion for sustainable practices, CEA Alliance said. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas as well as the Association of Corporate Counsel.

“I’m honored to join the CEA Alliance board and the opportunity to support an industry that’s redefining how we grow healthy food and working to expand greenhouse production in the United States,” said Hulett in a news release. “I look forward to working with fellow board members to promote innovation, shape smart U.S. policy, and ensure controlled environment agriculture is recognized as a critical part of a resilient, sustainable food system in America.”

Hulett joins an accomplished board comprising professionals throughout North America.
