Naturipe appoints Glenn Daniels to value-added fresh role

UPDATED: Naturipe Farms has hired Glenn Daniels as director of business development for value-added fresh.

(UPDATED June 28) Naturipe Farms has hired Glenn Daniels as director of business development for value-added fresh.

Daniels most recently was with Earthbound Farm, San Juan Bautista, Calif, for 18 years, most recently as vice president of customer development — East. His other roles at Earthbound include director of national foodservice accounts, central region sales manager and national sales manager. Before that, he was with Dole Fresh Vegetables for 12 years, as a product specialist in Dallas, regional sales manager in Chicago and director of commodity sales.

At Naturipe, Daniels will oversee expansion of the company’s value-added fresh product lines, according to a news release.

“Glenn has more than 30 years of sales experience in the produce industry and we are thrilled to have him join our team,” Steven Ware, vice president and general manager of Naturipe’s value-added fresh division, said in the release.

Daniels succeeds Jill Overdorf, who recently was named director of business development for foodservice at Naturipe, a new role for the berry company.

“After 30 years in the produce industry, I’ve been involved in all facets of the business, both commodity and value added in the retail and food service areas of produce,” Daniels said. “I’m looking forward to bringing that experience and knowledge to the berry industry and the Naturipe team.”
